Today is the last day of my vibe and flex yoga challenge. It has been wonderful to see so many of my beautiful people getting themselves healthy and starting a new healthy lifestyle. I’m glad I was able to inspire you and you were able to inspire me. Today’s pose is the seated head to knee pose. Aren’t you glad we got to end with a sitting pose versus another inversion? Today’s pose can be modified just like any other but please make sure you are not pushing your head to your knee- if it doesn’t go that far its okay, with practice you will get there.
I have had a few people get hurt because they were trying to be perfect like the picture. Keep in mind, the people in most of the yoga pictures you see online are very advanced and here we are just trying to begin, not end up in the hospital. You can modify this pose by using the yoga bands or the any fitness stretch band you may have around the house, they are pretty much the same with another name if you ask me.
The benefits of this pose are it deeply stretches the back of your legs, stimulates the nervous, reproductive, endocrine and urinary systems. It also calms the mind and emotions. I know it’s the last day of this challenge but I have one special reminder. Stay Hydrated or Die! I just couldn’t let this go because it is so very important. Today’s vibe is on that will crank you up. I thought it would be fun especially since we have come to the end of 30 days of being comfortably uncomfortable. Tisha Campbell-Martin has dropped “Lazy B*tch” (This Ain’t Gina) and it’s going nuts.
“Lazy B*tch” is not for the weak heartened so if you can handle some curse words and truth keep on pushing past this one. Tisha Campbell-Martin killed it and anyone who says anything different is hating. Stay up on what this brilliant woman has going on next because one thing is for sure, she no Lazy B*tch.
