Day 15 #sistayogachallenge-Double Dog

The final day of the #sistayogachallenge is here, Day 15. Today’s pose is everyone’s favorite pose, Double (Downward Facing) Dog.

When my sister and I did this pose, my kids were so excited. They have seen this pose in one of their favorite movies (Mr. Peabody & Sherman),  and this is their favorite pose to do with me when I’m practicing. They tried the Double Dog Pose and enjoyed themselves.

Some benefits of the Double Dog Pose are:

  • Strengthens entire back
  • Increases circulation
  • Decreases anxiety
  • Elongates Spine

This is a great reflection pose. Try to focus on your breathing, hands/fingers placements, keeping your core activated, and feet comfortably placed. All of these things effect how deep you are able to stretch.

Don’t worry about doing a challenge. Yes this challenge is over but now you have more great poses to add to your bank of yoga. Plus, you know I love a great challenege so the next step is probable to creat my own, but we will see how that goes over the next couple of months. You will most definietly will find at as soon as I know for sure.

Here’s my daily reminder, drink lots and lots of water. Hydration is key when gaining flexibility. If your body is dehydrated, it will be dry and unable to move fluidly unlike when drinking lots of water. There are all kinds of great ways to make you becoming healthier a little easier and the great thing is that you dont have to come uo with any yourself. My Pinterest has everything from yoga to food and more. Anythng that youre looking for, I am sure that you can find it here. Bless UP & Jah Guide My Beautiful People.
