#NAMASTESTRONG DAY 18- Flying Crow Pose

Hello My Beautiful People, and welcome to Day 18 of the #NAMASTESTRONG Yoga Challenge. I know after ‘Baby Crow‘ pose you may have thought about giving up, but don’t, you’ve got this! Crow pose is such a wonderful pose for our bodies. Although we don’t always want to do it, we do it anyways. It gets easier with time. Today, let’s push ourselves more.

Flying Crow (aka One Legged Crow) Pose:

  • Energizes the
  • Strengthens your wrists, shoulders and core muscles
  • Improves your balance

How To Flying Crow Pose:

  1. Start by placing both hands shoulder width apart on your mat with your fingers spread wide apart.
  2. Squat and place your right knee in your right armpit as high up as you can go. Then balance your right knee on the back of your right triceps.
  3. Lean your weight forward into your wrists engaging your core and gently lifting your left leg (your leg doesn’t have to go super high, that takes LOTS of practice).
  4. Point your left foots toes and lift your right foots heels towards your buttocks. Extend your chest forward and gaze forward.

*Hold this pose for 10-20 seconds working your way up to 30-40 seconds on both sides*

  • If you are having trouble getting your back leg to lift use your yoga block to help engage your muscles and with lifting your leg.

A Matr3Moni Reminder:

“NO MATTER WHAT, it’s your body and your choice.”

Please be careful while practicing; If you have prior injuries be extremely mindful of every movement and how it affects your body. By now you know your body and the difference between your pain and your stretch, so again, be careful.

Along with being mindful while practicing, you also have to be mindful of what is going on in the inside of your body and mental/spiritual realms. You can work your body in such a positive way and still counter the positive vibes by not having healthy habits and/or awareness.

Like they say “If you don’t use it, you will lose it.” So stay hydrated, yoglax daily, and exert positive spiritual awareness. I know you can transform into that person on the other side of today. Let’s take it day by day together. Jah Guide.
