Who is Matr3Moni?

I am an educated black women who has nothing to fear. Any time is the right time to be your true, authentic self, and that’s how I will live this life of mine until the end. I am an mother of three, wife, daughter, sister and friend who wants the absolute best for and from everyone. That means we all have to GET BETTER. My mouth is permanently broken, so whatever your thoughts are on what is considered “proper” are just that, your thoughts. After going through challenging seasons in life I have taken a vow of ‘say what I mean, and do what I say.’ I am a take it or leave it kind of person; I’m doing both, taking what I need and leaving the rest.

What is Matr3Moni.com?

This is a blog about my love of life as an Saltwatayankee (‘Saltwata’ -Island girl and an ‘Yankee’-born in the United States), Power Yoga Teacher, Wellness Coach and Music lover. Here is where I speak openly about.

These are my authentic experiences. They may not be perfect, but they are mine. I am hoping to show you that it’s okay, when life seems to full of thunder and the pouring rain, to find what works for you. You are not alone. I have been there, or may be going through many of the same plagues that most women, especially black women, don’t want to share . I want to show you that you are the sunshine, even while doing your life clean up.

I am a lover of all Wellness. I know and understand that wellness is not to be put aside for later. Even with all of our busy lives there is always time to take care of yourselves-mind, body and soul. I focus on areas that either get swept under the rug, we want to rush through or that we want to act like aren’t there. The only way to be better, is to do better through acknowledgment, learning and practice. I am not perfect and have my own set of health issues I work on daily. Power yoga may not be your thing but I hope to help you find something that works.

With my deep love for music, especially the Indie hustle, I love highlighting Indie Music. We all know that music makes every thing better! Atlanta, Ga has created such an great environment for exploring the indie scene and meeting the coolest artists in the world! Plus, that Saltwata side has some big chunes that will touch your soul and light a fire like never before.

Why was Matr3Moni.com created?

In 2015, I lost my father, and it changed my entire outlook on the world. Here I was about to graduate college, finally, and I was feeling lost. Not lost because I was graduating and couldn’t find a job but because everything around me began to change-quickly. Before I knew it, I had SUPERmorphed into the extreme version of the strong woman I have always been.

Shortly after, I realized that I wasn’t the only one feeling the storms of life, and this is an journey worth sharing.

I spend most of my time writing, teaching others to become their best.  I Yoglax (yoga + Living Authentic Athletic Experiences) every day, with a serious passion- It’s a lifestyle not a hobby.

Don’t be afraid to give me a shout when you here my mouth or see me about.

If you haven’t already, join the Yoglax Daily with Matr3Moni Facebook group and bend out of your comfort zone. No need to be shy, let’s get to know each other, connect with me now on my Instagram. Be Blessed and Jah guide.
